This study aims to reveal in-depth marine tourism research trends over the past two decades, from 2004 to 2023. This study attempts to comprehensively map marine tourism research trends using a bibliometric analysis approach. The Scopus database is the primary source in this study, and the keyword "marine tourism" is used. The inclusion criteria in this study are limited to scientific publication documents published in English during a predetermined period. The initial search results produced 640 relevant documents for further analysis. The bibliometric analysis includes identifying the most productive authors, affiliated institutions, countries, publishers, and keywords in producing research related to marine tourism. In addition, this study also examines publication trends from year to year, the division of document types, and the most dominant subject areas. This study is expected to provide a clear picture of the development of global marine tourism research, become a reference for other research related to marine tourism, and be one of the references for marine tourism policymakers, inspiring and motivating future research in the field.
