Propensity to Indebtedness, the tendency to borrow money, can have profound implications on consumer behavior. This study investigates how financial literacy, materialism, and risk perception influence Propensity to Indebtedness. The findings, based on a sample of 200 residents of Bandung City, reveal significant insights. Financial literacy is shown to have a significant negative effect on Propensity to Indebtedness, while materialism has a significant positive effect. The insignificant role of risk perception in this context is also a noteworthy implication.
