Bagaimana Determinasi Diri Dapat Memunculkan Perilaku Kerja Inovatif

The purpose of this study is to elucidate the mechanism by which self-determination influences innovative work behavior through self-efficacy. This study employs a quantitative approach with a single-point data collection technique (cross-sectional). The research respondents were 210 employees at the Kombas Community in Barlingmascakeb. Based on research and data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), it reveals that Autonomy has a significant, positive effect on Innovative Work Behavior. Second, competence does not have a significant effect on Innovative Work Behavior. Third, connectedness has a significant and positive effect on Innovative Work Behavior. Fourth, Self-Efficacy mediates the influence of Autonomy and connectedness on Innovative Work Behavior. The implications of this study underscore the pivotal role of Self-Determination theory, especially the dimensions of Autonomy and Connectedness, in fostering Innovative Work Behavior, both directly and through Self-Efficacy as a mediator. A work environment that supports autonomy and social connectedness can bolster employees' self-confidence to innovate. The results of this study not only provide theoretical contributions to explaining the psychological mechanisms linking motivation to innovative behavior but also offer practical insights for organizations to design employee engagement strategies grounded in psychological support that foster continuous innovation, thereby enriching the professional landscape.
