Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine the role of universities in improving human resource quality by utilizing the demographic bonus. Improving human resource quality is the goal of all nations and countries, because high-quality human resources enable prosperity and social welfare. Indonesia is entering a demographic bonus period while simultaneously facing a challenge of low human resource quality. Many programs and strategies can be implemented to improve human resources. The demographic bonus Indonesia is experiencing can be an opportunity to develop its potential by improving the quality of its human resources. This improvement in human resource quality is a collaborative process that involves various stakeholders, including the government, industry (private sector), and universities. The presence of universities, government, and industry, along with the active participation of the audience, will help create superior, high-quality human resources. This paper uses descriptive methods and qualitative techniques. The role of universities, government, and industry in utilizing the demographic bonus can improve human resource quality.
