The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems has become a strategic imperative for manufacturing companies seeking to implement digital transformation and Industry 4.0. However, the research surrounding AI-ERP integration remains fragmented and lacks systematic mapping. This study aims to provide a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of global research trends on the topic between 2010 and 2025. A total of 512 articles were retrieved from Google Scholar and Scopus databases using PoP. The data were analyzed using VOSviewer and PRISMA methodologies to map keyword co-occurrence, thematic clusters, co-authorship networks, and publication distribution. The findings reveal four key research clusters: adoption and strategic benefits, implementation frameworks, enabling technologies (e.g., IoT, blockchain), and specific ERP module functions. The study also identifies limited international collaboration and underdeveloped thematic areas such as AI-based decision support. This study contributes theoretically by consolidating fragmented insights and practically by guiding stakeholders on innovative trends and collaboration patterns. Despite limitations in data and language coverage, this study provides a structured foundation for future research and practical development of AI-enabled ERP systems for manufacturing companies.
Maurits Sahata Sipayung

This study, which employs a quantitative approach and a simple linear regression analysis, aims to investigate the impact of financial performance, as measured by Return on Assets (ROA), on profit growth at PT. Garuda Indonesia, Tbk., from 2020 to 2023. The data used are derived from the officially published annual financial reports of PT. Garuda Indonesia, Tbk. Garuda Indonesia, Tbk. The independent variable in this study is Return on Assets (ROA), and the dependent variable is profit growth. ROA is calculated by dividing net profit after tax by total assets, while profit growth is calculated as year-over-year changes in net profit. The analysis results show that ROA has a positive and significant effect on PT: Garuda Indonesia, Tbk.'s profit growth. The ROA regression coefficient is 75.109, with a significance level of 0.034 (<0.05), indicating that higher ROA is associated with greater profit growth. Although the standardized coefficient (Beta) is only 0.056, indicating a relatively small effect, it remains statistically significant. This confirms that efficient asset utilization is crucial to increasing company profits. These findings have significant practical implications. They highlight the need for PT Garuda Indonesia's management to focus on improving asset management efficiency, as this is a key driver of sustainable profit growth. Moreover, this study suggests potential areas for further research, particularly in identifying other variables that influence the financial performance and profits of companies in the aviation sector.
Masyadi MasyadiA.
The background of this research problem is how individuals or companies must ensure that their investment is sound before investing in stocks. This is achieved by applying various alternative assessment methods to determine whether the selected stock will truly generate profits in the future. Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE) are ratios that indicate a company's ability to generate profits and are one way to assess its performance. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of ROA and ROE on the stock price of PT BRI, Tbk., Soppeng Branch. This research is classified as quantitative. The data source is secondary data. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression. Furthermore, the hypothesis is tested using the F-test, t-test, and coefficient of determination. The results of this study indicate that Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE) simultaneously have a significant effect on stock prices. Partial analysis suggests that only EPS affects stock prices, while ROA and ROE do not affect the stock price of PT BRI, Tbk., Soppeng Branch. To obtain this data, the author visited the websites of PT BRI Tbk, Soppeng Branch, and the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The author used a summary of key financial data for the 2015-2022 period.
Sukma AiniVerry GinogaYusrianto Yusrianto

https://www.journal.jis-institute.org/index.php/snfmi/article/view/3084

This study examines the influence of influencer marketing on Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) purchase decisions, both directly and through the mediating role of brand image, with a focus on members of the Ordo Nemesis NFT community. The rapid evolution of blockchain technology has driven the surge in popularity of NFTs, where consumer decisions are profoundly influenced by brand perception and public figures who endorse them. Influencer marketing has emerged as a prevalent strategy to influence these perceptions. A quantitative approach was employed using survey data collected from 100 community members who had previously purchased NFTs. The data were analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS. The findings reveal that influencer marketing significantly strengthens brand image, and brand image exerts a strong positive effect on purchase decisions. However, the direct impact of influencer marketing on purchasing behavior is weaker than its indirect effect through brand image, underscoring the importance of brand perception as a mediating factor. These results suggest that NFT creators and companies should prioritize developing a strong, authentic brand image in collaboration with credible influencers to foster consumer trust and encourage sustainable purchasing behavior.
Anny NurbasariNisa Hanum HaraniMedy Syari Khalifah Anggari Raharjo

https://www.journal.jis-institute.org/index.php/snfmi/article/view/3087

This study thoroughly examines Generation Z's perceptions of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in digital marketing among MSMEs in Bali. The evolution of digital technology, particularly AI, has revolutionized marketing strategies by enabling automation, personalized ads, and real-time analysis of consumer behavior, thereby helping MSMEs expand their markets and enhance operational efficiency. However, the primary challenges in AI implementation are the limited digital literacy among MSMEs and concerns about consumer data privacy. As the dominant digital consumer in Indonesia, Generation Z strongly favors personalized, efficient shopping experiences. Yet, they also exhibit a high level of scrutiny towards the transparency and security of the personal data used in digital marketing. This study employs a qualitative approach that integrates in-depth interviews and participant observation with Gen Z in the Badung and Denpasar regions. Through this method, the study thoroughly investigates how Gen Z reacts to AI-based advertising and marketing strategies, including their attitudes towards privacy and ad frequency. The anticipated results are expected to provide comprehensive, insightful recommendations for MSMEs and policymakers to establish an inclusive, competitive digital marketing ecosystem that safeguards the rights of young consumers in the ever-evolving digital era. This study also aspires to enhance comprehension of the significance of digital literacy and the ethical use of AI in MSME marketing in Bali.
Ni Putu Dyah KrismawintariNi Luh Putu Suarmi Sri Patni

https://www.journal.jis-institute.org/index.php/snfmi/article/view/3088

This study aims to determine the employee performance based on tri hita karana environment concept at the hotel business in Bali. Employee performance research is accomplished through data analysis that employs descriptive and interpretative qualitative methods. Descriptive was accomplished by categorizing the data into topics using the appropriate terminology. The variables' themes are described in relation to the theoretical framework and previous studies. The connections between these variables are the findings of this article. These meanings are representative of the article's findings in regard to the relationships between variables. The increasing employee performance at the hotel business in Bali is attributed to tri hita karana environment concept that are practical and fulfilling. Modern employee performance increases knowledge and offers a variety of techniques. As previously mentioned, the traditional tri hita karana environment concept also could be a new technique for improving employee performance. The traditional tri hita karana environment concept is not only suitable for use in Bali but can be applied generally, because in principle it operates green human resources management (Green HRM) sustainably.
Yeyen KomalasariI Ketut Ady Merta AntaraPutu Ayu Windayanti

https://www.journal.jis-institute.org/index.php/snfmi/article/view/3089

This research addresses the sustainability gap in modern business management, which is often dominated by Western-centric approaches and lacks integration of local wisdom. Drawing on the Balinese Tri Hita Karana (THK) philosophy harmonizing relationships between humanity, God, others, and nature this study examines its real-world integration in Bali’s business and tourism sectors. Employing a descriptive qualitative multi-case study and comprehensive triangulation of literature, regulation, company audits, and field observations, this research reveals that THK is effectuated not only through offerings in ritual, community involvement, and environmentally-friendly operations but also through structured policies and awards such as the THK Awards. The findings show that compared to conventional Triple Bottom Line (TBL) and ESG models, THK delivers a more holistic, contextually rooted sustainability framework by incorporating spiritual and cultural dimensions. However, implementation challenges persist, including commercialization of culture, land conversion, human resource gaps, and digital adaptation. Strategies such as policy collaboration, local value-based education, and global sustainability linkages (SDGs) have been initiated to address these barriers. THK implementation has demonstrably enhanced local economic diversification, cultural preservation, and stakeholder education, setting a holistic sustainability benchmark for local, national, and global adaptation. The study recommends collaborative and adaptive strategies for government, industry, and communities to further mainstream THK as a universal principle for inclusive and resilient sustainable business.
I Gusti Bagus Rai UtamaChristimulia Purnama TrimurtiI Gede Agus Mertayasa

https://www.journal.jis-institute.org/index.php/snfmi/article/view/3099

In highly competitive markets, companies adopt various strategies to sustain and expand their market position. Price war, characterized by aggressive price reductions, often provides short-term sales growth but undermines long-term profitability and brand equity. In contrast, value war emphasizes differentiation, innovation, and customer experience to create sustainable competitive advantage. This conceptual paper synthesizes recent literature (2015–2024) to examine the strategic implications of both approaches. Findings indicate that while price wars can temporarily increase market share, they typically erode margins and commoditize offerings. Value wars, however, foster customer loyalty, enhance customer lifetime value, and support premium pricing. This study recommends that firms transition toward value-based strategies to strengthen long-term competitiveness.
Yolla MargarethaMaya MalindaHenky Lisan Suwarno

This study aims to explore the role of industry complexity as a moderating factor in the relationship between managerial compensation and firm performance. The research object consists of companies in the food and beverage manufacturing sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, considering the high operational complexity in this sector. The research method employs statistical analysis using the SEM-PLS approach to examine the relationships among variables. The results show that managerial compensation does not have a significant effect on firm performance, contrary to agency theory, which states that compensation is designed to improve performance. However, industry complexity is proven to be a significant moderating factor but has a negative direction in this relationship. This supports the Resource-Based View (RBV) theory, which states that unique resources can influence performance, while the role of industry complexity highlights the importance of external factors. This study provides theoretical implications by adjusting agency and RBV theories to external contexts, as well as practical implications for companies to consider industry complexity in designing compensation policies. A more holistic strategy is required to improve firm performance in a dynamic and complex industrial environment.
Mohamad Nur UtomoFerica ChristinawatiNunung NurhasanahKaujan Kaujan

This study analyzes the relationship between women's empowerment programs in West Java, specifically the Sekoper Cinta and WJWE Caang programs, and a human security approach that emphasizes two main aspects: economic security and personal security. Based on data from the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), and other sources, it was identified that women in West Java still face significant gender disparities in access to education, employment, and legal protection. Empowerment programs such as Sekoper Cinta have had a positive impact on women's individual capacity but have not fully addressed the root causes of economic problems and gender-based violence. This study used a qualitative-descriptive approach to describe the field conditions and the role of local governments. The analysis shows that women's empowerment is a strategic instrument for achieving sustainable development, particularly in the context of economic security and personal security. The recommendations, which focus on strengthening policies, providing psychosocial support, and expanding legal literacy and digital economic modules, are crucial for the empowerment of women and for achieving inclusive and sustainable regional development.
Joeliaty JoeliatyMarthalina Marthalina

Health services, integrity, and professionalism are closely related to patient satisfaction because the procedures used to provide services directly affect patients. Patients can feel comfortable and satisfied when the performance of health services they receive matches or even exceeds their expectations. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of service quality, integrity, and professionalism of health workers on outpatient satisfaction at the Poasia and Puuwatu Health Centers in Kendari City. The subjects in this study were 100 outpatients. The analysis technique used was Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) research based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results of the study at the Poasia and Puuwatu Health Centers in Kendari City showed a significant effect between service quality and outpatient satisfaction with a p-value of 0%; there was a significant effect between health workers' professionalism and outpatient satisfaction with a p-value of 0.4%, while there was no significant effect between health workers' integrity and outpatient satisfaction with a p-value of 26%. This study concludes that there is a significant influence between the quality of service and the professionalism of health workers on the satisfaction of outpatients, but there is no influence between the integrity of health workers on the satisfaction of outpatients at the Poasia and Puuwatu Health Centers in Kendari City. These findings suggest that improving service quality and enhancing the professionalism of health workers can significantly enhance outpatient satisfaction.
Yusniati Dwi PemudiNasrul NasrulAdryan FristiohadyJafriati Jafriati

This study aims to analyze the influence of product quality, store atmosphere, and fear of missing out (FoMO) on purchasing decisions with expenditure as a moderating variable. The sample consisted of consumers who had visited CW Coffee & Eatery in Cik Di Tiro, Yogyakarta, and was determined using purposive sampling, yielding 102 respondents. The data were collected via a Google Form survey. Furthermore, the data were processed using SEM-PLS, which underwent 3 tests: outer model evaluation, structural model evaluation, and model fit evaluation. The results of this study indicate that Product Quality and Store Atmosphere have a positive and significant effect on Purchasing Decisions, whereas FoMO has no positive effect and is insignificant. For the Expenditure variable, it is also shown not to moderate the influence of the relationship between Product Quality and Purchasing Decisions, nor that between Store Atmosphere and Purchasing Decisions. These findings provide valuable insights for marketers and business owners, informing them about the factors that influence consumer behavior and the potential strategies to enhance their marketing efforts.
Junita TheresiaJonathan Herdioko

https://www.journal.jis-institute.org/index.php/snfmi/article/view/3107

This study aims to analyze the influence of demographic variables, namely gender, education, income, generation, and occupation, as well as the role of personal branding on the level of voter trust in legislative candidates (caleg) in Electoral District IX, West Java, namely Sumedang, Majalengka, and Subang Regency in West Java Province. Personal branding in the political context is a systematic strategy for shaping a personal image. This strategy is believed to strengthen positive perceptions and increase political trust. This study uses a quantitative approach with Multinomial Logistic Regression (MLogit) and involves 1006 respondents selected via multistage random sampling. The results show that gender or gender congruence often influences public perception. In the context of personal branding, legislative candidates who display masculine attributes —assertiveness, leadership, and courage — tend to receive higher levels of trust, and occupation has a significant influence on voter trust. Social programs can increase prospective voters' trust when campaign messages are tailored to the economic interests of occupational groups. Personal branding among legislative candidates who campaign in the economic field, such as concern for people's economic well-being, tends to build trust with the voting public. At the same time, education, income, and generation do not show a significant influence. This study's findings have practical implications for future legislative candidate campaign strategies, providing insights into how to effectively build trust with the voting public.
Agus Aribowo

https://www.journal.jis-institute.org/index.php/snfmi/article/view/3108

This study examines the differences in service experience, perceived food attractiveness, and revisit intention when restaurants use different multisensory cues (visual, auditory, and olfactory) in a restaurant setting. A field experiment manipulating visual, auditory, and olfactory cues was conducted at a restaurant in Surabaya, involving 240 first-time visitors. This study found that (1) when multisensory cues (visual, auditory, and olfactory) were used in the service delivery location, consumers rated the food served as more attractive, the quality of the service experience at the restaurant was also better, but did not result in a stronger intention to revisit, (2) the more multisensory cues used, the better the consumer response generated, and (3) food attractiveness and service experience fully mediated the influence of multisensory cues on revisit intention; with service experience being a more potent mediator than food attractiveness. Because this study used a field experiment, generalizing the research findings should be done with caution. This research helps restaurant managers manage the sensory cues used in their establishments to increase customer return intentions. This is one of the few studies conducted using a field experiment in a restaurant context.
Sony Kusumasondjaja

Digital transformation in HR management has evolved into a crucial strategy for enhancing the efficiency and competitiveness of construction companies in the Industry 4.0 era. This study aims to investigate the application of digital transformation in HR management at PT Wika (Persero) Tbk. The research focuses on five main aspects: HR planning, recruitment processes, digital-based training, performance evaluation, and their impact on smooth project operations. This study uses a qualitative approach, employing a case study method and data triangulation, including in-depth interviews, field observations, and literature reviews. The results show that implementing the Human Capital Management System (HCMS) and the WikaZone platform successfully increased the efficiency of workforce planning and employee performance management. The digital-based recruitment process was faster. Online training on the Wikademy platform provided flexibility in learning. Digital performance evaluation was deemed administratively efficient. Digital transformation also had a positive impact on cross-team coordination and project documentation, but still faces obstacles such as limited infrastructure, asynchronous central and local systems, and minimal end-user involvement in system design. Therefore, the success of digital HR transformation critically depends on alignment among technology, HR readiness, and inclusive, adaptive policy support to project dynamics.
Arief DarmawanFachrika Putri Rahmawati

https://www.journal.jis-institute.org/index.php/snfmi/article/view/3110

Bank financial performance is a key indicator of institutional success. However, banks are exposed to various risks, particularly credit risk and liquidity risk, which significantly affect performance. Credit risk, measured by the Non-Performing Loan (NPL) ratio, increases when borrowers fail to meet their obligations, thereby reducing bank profitability. Liquidity risk, measured by the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), reflects the bank’s ability to allocate third-party funds into credit; an excessively low LDR indicates inefficiency and may lower profits. This study aims to empirically analyze the effect of credit risk and liquidity risk, both partially and simultaneously, on the financial performance of Danantara group banks. The sample consists of four banks—BRI, BNI, BTN, and Bank Mandiri—over a ten-year period (2015–2024). Data were analyzed using Multiple Linear Regression. The findings reveal that credit risk and liquidity risk have a negative and significant effect when tested individually. Furthermore, when tested simultaneously, these risks jointly affect the financial performance of Danantara group banks.
Sri Mulyati

This comprehensive study aims to analyze the reaction of the Indonesian capital market to the announcement of the formation of Daya Anagata Nusantara (DANANTARA). The study uses an event study approach, with a research sample consisting of stocks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) that are included in the Danantara index. The observation period is divided into three phases: the anticipation period, the event period, and the adjustment period. The models used are the Constant Return Model, the Market Adjusted Model, and the CAPM, ensuring a thorough analysis. The test results for all models across all events show CARs and p-values greater than 5%, indicating that the announcement of Danantara's formation has no significant effect on abnormal returns. This finding indicates that the Danantara announcement did not trigger a significant short-term market reaction, suggesting that the market already reflected the information in prior prices or that the information lacked sufficient value to influence investment decisions.
Nurfauziah Nurfauziah

This study aims to analyze the influence of Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO) on sustainable marketing performance in food and beverage micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), with Green Value Co-Creation (GVCC) as an intervening variable. This study employs a quantitative approach, surveying 150 MSEs in the former Pekalongan Residency and using a cluster sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares – Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 3.0. The results show that EO has a significant positive effect on GVCC, GVCC has a positive effect on green competitive advantage (GCA) and MSME marketing performance, and GCA has a positive effect on MSME marketing performance. In addition, GVCC is proven to mediate the relationship between EO and MSME marketing performance. This finding confirms the important role of EO in encouraging environmentally based shared value creation as a strategy to improve green competitiveness and sustainable marketing performance.
Kamalina Din JannahZahro ZahroFerdy Firmasyah AF

This study examines the impact of High Performance Work System (HPWS) and Work Culture on Employee Mental Wellness (EMW), with Technostress as a mediating variable. The research employed a quantitative approach with survey data collected from 395 employees in Salatiga City, Indonesia. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings reveal that both HPWS and Work Culture have a significant positive effect on EMW. Furthermore, Technostress is proven to mediate these relationships, indicating that the implementation of high-performance practices and specific work cultures can generate technology-related stress, which in turn influences employees’ mental wellness. These results extend prior studies by confirming that while modern work systems and supportive culture can strengthen employee well-being, they may also produce unintended psychological burdens through technostress. From a managerial perspective, organizations are advised to balance the adoption of high-performance systems and digital technologies with effective interventions to reduce technostress, such as employee training, psychological support, and fostering a healthier work environment. This research contributes to the literature on human resource management and workplace well-being in the context of digital transformation.
Yanuar Surya PutraAmbar IstiyaniAndri Setiawan

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of stock investment decisions among Generation Z with locus of control as a mediating variable. Generation Z is the dominant demographic group in the Indonesian capital market, but their investment behavior is still influenced by various psychological and cognitive factors. This study used a quantitative, survey-based approach with 100 Generation Z respondents in Semarang City who actively invest in stocks. The research instrument was tested using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) model in SmartPLS. The results show that financial literacy and herding bias have a positive and significant effect on investment decisions. Financial literacy also significantly affects locus of control, which, in turn, mediates its effect on investment decisions. However, locus of control does not significantly mediate the relationship between herding bias and investment decisions. These findings indicate that strengthening financial literacy has both direct and indirect effects on the quality of investment decisions by increasing self-control. On the other hand, the tendency to follow the majority (herding) has a strong direct effect on investment decisions, without the mediating role of internal control. The practical implications of these findings are significant, as they can inform the development of financial education strategies targeting the younger generation by considering cognitive and psychological aspects of investment decision-making.
Asri Nur WahyuniMuliawan Hamdani

Maritime tourism is a leading sector in Indonesia's economic development strategy as an archipelagic nation. However, data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and previous research indicate low visits by Generation Z to marine tourism compared to city, nature, and cultural tourism. This study aims to analyze tourism motivation as a mediating factor of experiential marketing and destination image on visiting intention. This study used a survey method and data processing using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. Data from 86 Generation Z respondents showed a direct influence of experiential marketing on visiting intention, but no direct influence from destination image. Tourism motivation was proven to mediate partially complementary relationships between experiential marketing and visiting intention and fully on the relationship between destination image and visiting intention. This study contributes by demonstrating the importance of tourism motivation factors in determining tourist destinations.
holding a strategic position as the world's largest Muslim-majority country. Despite its expansion, empirical studies predicting consumer intention to purchase halal cosmetics remain limited, especially those integrating halal literacy and demographic factors. This study examines the predictive role of halal literacy and socio-demographic variables (age, education, income, and marital status) on Indonesian consumers' intention. A quantitative cross-sectional survey involved 200 Muslim female respondents who had purchased halal cosmetics. Data were analyzed using binary logistic regression to estimate the probability of high purchase intention and evaluate each predictor's contribution. Model fit was tested with the Hosmer–Lemeshow test and Nagelkerke R² values. Results show that halal literacy is determinant of intention, with an odds ratio (OR) of 1.605, meaning each one-unit increase in literacy raises the likelihood of high intention by 60.5%. Demographic variables were not significant, although marital status showed a positive trend of nearly doubling purchase intention. The study contributes theoretically by extending the Theory of Planned Behavior with halal literacy and offers practical implications through consumer education.
Prita PrasetyaFebrina MahlizaWinda Widyanty

This study introduces a new paradigm that combines Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) methods to measure human resource behavior correlated with emotional intelligence. This approach not only improves employee performance and satisfaction but also has practical applications in optimizing decision-making processes and enhancing regional operations. The framework addresses high turnover, low team performance, and recruitment challenges, aiming to support strategic decision-making in government agencies and companies. The model uses 9 factors and 20 criteria in NLP and analyzes 600 respondent comments using sentiment analysis, including 9 text criteria in SVM, with 3 indicators from 7 companies and 3 government agencies. The results obtained show a value of 0.93. This study shows that the use of hybrids to optimize human resource behavior, emotional intelligence in a work perspective, technical criteria, and public sentiment produces inclusive data. This study lays a strong foundation for future research with practical applications and makes a significant contribution to the field of management science, especially human resource behavior and beyond.
Lukman SetiawanM AkhtarSahbuddin Sahbuddin

This study aims to analyze the influence of workplace ostracism (WO) or workplace exclusion on counterproductive work behavior (CWB) or deviant work behavior by considering emotional exhaustion as a mediating variable and emotional intelligence (EI) as a moderating variable. This study was conducted among employees of a Multi-Party Cooperative in Indonesia, which has a collective social structure and a high level of interaction complexity among members. The study used a quantitative method with a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) approach, in which data were collected from 122 respondents via a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed that workplace ostracism had a positive and significant effect on emotional exhaustion and counterproductive work behavior. In addition, emotional exhaustion was proven to mediate the relationship between workplace ostracism and CWB significantly. However, the moderating role of emotional intelligence was not found to be significant, indicating that emotional intelligence is not strong enough to buffer the negative impact of social exclusion on counterproductive work behavior in the cooperative context. These findings make a theoretical contribution to the organizational behavior literature, particularly regarding psychological factors in the work environment. The practical implications of the research findings emphasize the importance of creating an inclusive work environment, providing emotional support, raising awareness of the impacts of exclusion, and encouraging organizational development programs. This research is expected to serve as a strategic reference for cooperative management in designing healthier, fairer, and more productive human resource management policies.
Susi HaryantiSiti Zulaikha Wulandari

Indonesia’s maritime industry faces the urgent challenge of balancing environmental sustainability with global competitiveness. As an archipelagic nation, Indonesia holds vast blue economy potential, yet its marine resources must be managed wisely to ensure economic growth without degrading ecosystems. This study analyzes the integration of sustainable management, the blue economy, and Society 5.0 in the transformation of the national maritime sector. Using a descriptive-qualitative approach, data were collected through literature study and content analysis from accredited journals, government reports (KKP, BPS, BI, OJK), and recent academic sources up to 2025. The findings indicate that sustainable management plays a key role in increasing fishery productivity, expanding marine conservation areas, and improving the welfare of coastal communities. The blue economy provides a strategic foundation by focusing on sustainable fisheries, renewable energy, and marine tourism as drivers of growth. In parallel, the adoption of Society 5.0 technologies—such as smart ports, Internet of Things, big data, and artificial intelligence—has improved logistics efficiency, supply chain transparency, and environmental impact mitigation. The study recommends strengthening evidence-based governance, accelerating maritime technology investment, and enhancing human resource capacity. These steps are essential for positioning Indonesia as a technology-driven blue economy hub in Southeast Asia while contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Dedi SuseloCitra Mulya SariChusnul ChotimahTegar TegarKhoirunnisa Rosida Putri

https://www.journal.jis-institute.org/index.php/snfmi/article/view/3126

This study aims to analyze the influence of brand image and digital marketing on the decision to choose a Private University (PTS), with social influence tested as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was used through a survey of 400 prospective students at five PTS in Palembang City. Data were collected using a 1–5 Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using PLS-SEM (SmartPLS 4.0) to assess the quality of measurement and structural relationships. The results show that brand image and digital marketing have positive, significant effects on PTS selection decisions. Social influence was also found to have a positive and significant impact on selection decisions. However, the mediating role of social influence in the relationship between brand image and digital marketing decisions was not significant, suggesting that the direct impact of the two exogenous variables is more dominant in this context. The research model shows strong explanatory power on selection decisions (adjusted R² of 0.874). Theoretically, these findings enrich the higher education marketing literature by emphasizing the importance of institutional brand equity and the effectiveness of the digital communication mix. At the same time, in practice, it is recommended that PTS prioritize strengthening the institutional image and managing relevant digital content, while activating curated social proof (alums and peer testimonials) to enhance prospective students' confidence.
Rully ArmantoMuji GunartoAbdullah Rasjid

https://www.journal.jis-institute.org/index.php/snfmi/article/view/3127

This study aims to investigate the influence of market concentration, bank capital, and efficiency on bank stability in Indonesia. The research was conducted using 93 banks' data collected from individual bank financial reports on Financial Services Authority (OJK) database report during the 2018-2022 period. Furthermore, panel data regression was used to estimate the parameters. The results suggest that there is a positive relationship between market concentration and bank capital on bank stability, although only bank capital has a significant effect. Whereas concentration implies a negative and strong effect on bank stability in Indonesia. The study indicates that various effects of the chosen variables shed light on the managerial practice, particularly related to risk assessment in the Indonesian banking industry.
Felisitas DefungAulia Fitriani

This study examines the implementation of the Halal, Safe, and Healthy Culinary Zone (Zona KHAS) business management through a case study of Warung Soto Bok Ijo in Tamanan Village, Kediri City, East Java. The research focuses on how the management of the Zona KHAS presents significant opportunities for traders, consumers, the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), and the Kediri City Government. The research used a qualitative approach, including in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation, which were analyzed descriptively. The results show that for traders, the Zona KHAS opens opportunities to improve business image and marketing networks, and to attract consumers who prioritize halal products. For consumers, the Zona KHAS provides a guarantee of halal, safe, and healthy products. From the MUI's perspective, halal certification strengthens religious legitimacy. Meanwhile, for the Kediri City Government, the Zona KHAS supports local economic development and culinary tourism promotion. This research confirms that the management of the SPECIAL Zone not only strengthens halal culinary but also serves as a model of Islamic economic synergy based on multi-party collaboration.
Muhamad Aqim AdlanRisdiana HimmatiRisma Arifiadna

The purpose of this study is to elucidate the mechanism by which self-determination influences innovative work behavior through self-efficacy. This study employs a quantitative approach with a single-point data collection technique (cross-sectional). The research respondents were 210 employees at the Kombas Community in Barlingmascakeb. Based on research and data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), it reveals that Autonomy has a significant, positive effect on Innovative Work Behavior. Second, competence does not have a significant effect on Innovative Work Behavior. Third, connectedness has a significant and positive effect on Innovative Work Behavior. Fourth, Self-Efficacy mediates the influence of Autonomy and connectedness on Innovative Work Behavior. The implications of this study underscore the pivotal role of Self-Determination theory, especially the dimensions of Autonomy and Connectedness, in fostering Innovative Work Behavior, both directly and through Self-Efficacy as a mediator. A work environment that supports autonomy and social connectedness can bolster employees' self-confidence to innovate. The results of this study not only provide theoretical contributions to explaining the psychological mechanisms linking motivation to innovative behavior but also offer practical insights for organizations to design employee engagement strategies grounded in psychological support that foster continuous innovation, thereby enriching the professional landscape.
Erwin Pandu WardanaRatno PurnomoSiti Zulaikha Wulandari

The integration of sustainability principles into marketing strategies remains a contentious issue among academics and practitioners, particularly in emerging industries where market orientation and environmental responsibility need to be aligned. In the Indonesian microalgae bioenergy industry, a key challenge is identifying the most effective drivers of Sustainable Marketing Orientation (SMO). This study, a collaborative effort between academics, industry practitioners, and policymakers, aims to explore and prioritize key aspects and criteria influencing SMO in this sector. Using a mixed-methods approach, the Fuzzy Delphi Method (FDM) was used to validate expert consensus on relevant SMO criteria, followed by Fuzzy DEMATEL to analyze the causal relationships among these criteria. The study focused on three key aspects: long-term vision and planning, strategic resource organization, and innovation capability as fundamental drivers of SMO. Several key criteria, such as flexibility, continuous improvement, supply chain collaboration, and technology and equipment, emerged as high-priority areas. These findings provide practical guidance for industry players and policymakers, inviting them to be part of the collaborative effort in designing strategic interventions to support sustainable growth in microalgae-based bioenergy businesses.
Phima Ruthia DwikesumasariJovi SulistiawanAmak M Yaqoub

https://www.journal.jis-institute.org/index.php/snfmi/article/view/3131

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of hard skill training on the performance of sustainable SMEs through the role of innovative work behavior. The population of this study was craft SME actors in Semarang Regency, with a saturated sample of 132 SME actors. Statistical data analysis was performed using the SPSS program. The results show that the hypothesis that hard skill training directly affects performance is rejected, but hard skill training affects innovative work behavior, which in turn affects performance. Based on the mediation test, it is proven that innovative work behavior can fully mediate the effect of innovative work behavior on SME performance. In other words, technical training effectively improves SME performance only through the formation of adaptive and creative innovative behavior. These results support SDG 4 (Quality education through technical skills training programs), SDG 9 (Innovation & Industry can encourage innovative behavior among MSME workers), and SDG 12, which is related to sustainable production and consumption. Future research should modify or add soft skills training variables as an effort to improve innovative behavior and sustainable MSME performance.
Sri WartiniNury Ariani Wulansari

Micro and small enterprises (MSEs) are vital for local economies in developing countries but remain highly vulnerable to climate change, especially in coastal zones. This study investigates the adaptive capacity of MSEs in Kendal Regency, Central Java, Indonesia, a coastal area experiencing recurrent tidal flooding, land subsidence, and coastal erosion. Using a mixed-methods approach, survey data from 210 enterprises and interviews with 20 entrepreneurs were analyzed through partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) and thematic coding. The quantitative results indicate that access to finance, community collaboration, and entrepreneurial orientation each have a significant positive impact on adaptive capacity (H1–H3), while institutional Support enhances these relationships through moderating effects (H4–H6). Among these factors, access to finance emerged as the strongest predictor. The qualitative findings complement these results by illustrating three dominant adaptation strategies: pragmatic operational adjustments, diversification of business activities, and ecosystem-based adaptation through mangrove rehabilitation. However, gendered barriers persist, as women entrepreneurs reported more limited access to finance, community networks, and institutional recognition. By integrating quantitative and qualitative evidence, this study demonstrates that financial resources, collaboration, and entrepreneurship are necessary foundations for resilience, but their effectiveness depends on institutional facilitation. Policy implications include the need for gender-sensitive credit schemes, institutionalization of community collaboration, and recognition of entrepreneurial innovation. These findings highlight the role of coastal MSEs as both economic actors and agents of climate resilience, contributing to the achievement of SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
Vitradesie NoekentNina WitasariVina Nurul HusnaSiti Ridloah

The use of digital media has transformed the marine tourism business, both from a company and consumer perspective. Digital footprints in the customer journey are crucial for understanding Generation Z consumers in marketing activities. This study employed a qualitative method, including a survey of 90 Generation Z respondents, to describe the customer journey to marine tourism destinations. Data processing was conducted using content analysis. The results showed that during the travel-planning stage, Generation Z seeks information on social media, but friends and family play a significant role as the most influential factors in decision-making, often providing recommendations and advice. After making a decision, Generation Z generally uses Online Travel Agents (OTAs), with the Traveloka.com platform as their primary choice. While traveling, Generation Z shares their important moments — scenery, marine activities, atmosphere, facilities, and culinary delights — primarily on Instagram, primarily in photo form. The worst thing for them is the lack of signal for their digital activities. After the trip, they rarely write reviews but do post on the same platform. They usually share their good experiences with friends and family. The results of this study are helpful for tourism practitioners in developing sound marketing strategies. Meanwhile, the literature can strengthen the tourism and marketing literature, especially regarding the tourism behavior of Generation Z.
Boedi Hartadi KuslinaChandra Kuswoyo

Sindulang Village, Sumedang Regency, offers natural beauty and fertile land for agriculture, particularly in the Baruimun Hill area. This enormous potential is utilized through a community service program to develop the area as an Agro-Edu-Tourism destination. This program aims to improve the welfare of the Sindulang Village community by empowering millennials to drive the village towards a sustainable, smart village. Activities focus on increasing human resource capacity, utilizing digital technology, and strengthening the management of local potential. The implementation method involves training, education, demonstrations, and mentoring two primary partners: the Makmur Millennial Farmers Group and Kerenceng Volunteers. Innovations include the development of supporting infrastructure, such as a smart watering system (automatic watering) and solar cells (solar panels), entrepreneurship education, and digital promotions through social media and websites. The results of this community service activity show improvements in partners' management skills, technological understanding, and digital marketing capabilities. Furthermore, tourism and agricultural infrastructure have improved, contributing to visitor comfort and the development of tourist attractions. This model can be implemented in other villages to empower communities and strengthen local economies. The main obstacle is low digital literacy and the need for continued mentoring from the partners of the Makmur Millennial Farmers Group and Kerenceng Volunteers, as well as from the Sindulang Village community, to sustain the innovations implemented.
Erna GarniaRudy GunawanNurwathi NurwathiSiti Riyyan LisaumiFaiza Aghniya Kamila

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in developing countries are facing increasing pressure to maintain innovation performance (IP) amidst digital transformation. While social media use (SMU) and intellectual capital (IC) are recognized as strategic resources, previous studies have reported inconsistent results regarding their direct effects on innovation outcomes. This study investigates the mediating role of absorptive capacity (AC) in linking SMU and IC to IP in Indonesian SMEs. Data were collected from 173 SME managers in Bali, Indonesia, using a structured survey. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to test the conceptual model and seven hypotheses. The results indicate that SMU and IC do not directly enhance IP but exert a significant indirect effect through AC. Specifically, AC fully mediates the relationship between SMU and IP and partially mediates the relationship between IC and IP. These findings highlight AC as a critical dynamic capability that enables SMEs to transform digital interactions and intangible resources into sustainable innovation outcomes. This study contributes to the resource-based view (RBV) and dynamic capabilities theory (DCT) by clarifying the role of AC as a connecting mechanism between digital resource adoption and innovation performance. In practice, these findings provide actionable insights for SME managers and policymakers on leveraging social media and intellectual capital to build absorptive capacity and strengthen innovation competitiveness in emerging markets.
Ni Made WahyuniLuh Kade DatriniKadek Goldina Puteri Dewi

Employee productivity is a critical determinant of competitiveness and sustainability in the agribusiness sector, particularly modern livestock farming in developing countries. Despite the importance of technology adoption, the effectiveness of Strategic Human Resource Management (SRM) in shaping employee competencies and enhancing productivity remains underexplored in the livestock sector. This study analyzes the direct and indirect impacts of Strategic HRM on work productivity through employee competencies in modern livestock farming clusters in East Kalimantan, Indonesia. A quantitative explanatory research design was employed, and data were collected from 76 respondents across three livestock farming clusters. Using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) through SmartPLS 4, the study evaluated the measurement and structural models. The results indicate that SHRM has a positive and significant impact on productivity and strongly enhances employee competency. Competence also has a direct positive impact on productivity and acts as a mediator in the relationship between SHRM and productivity. Theoretically, this study extends the Ability-Motivation-Opportunity (AMO) framework and the resource-based view by confirming competency as a key mediating mechanism. In practice, these findings provide practical insights for you, the managers and policymakers, on implementing competency-based HR strategies, continuous training, and incentive systems to strengthen productivity in agribusiness companies. Your role in this process is crucial and integral.
Ariesta HeksariniSyarifah HudayahFernanda Farin

This study examines the role of information asymmetry in the influence of organizational justice and compensation appropriateness on fraud. Moderation analysis is necessary to examine phenomena within an organization, so that organizational leaders can develop diverse models for achieving targeted performance. The researchers used a survey method to achieve this research objective. The survey was conducted by distributing questionnaires to targeted respondents. The respondents were employees at Bank Perkreditan Rakyat (BPR) in Klaten Regency. The 47 data collected were analyzed using several analytical tools. The instruments used passed validity and reliability tests, as well as the classical assumption test. Hypothesis testing used regression analysis with interaction terms. The results of the path analysis indicated that organizational justice had a significant effect on fraud. Compensation appropriately had an effect, but not a significant effect on fraud. Moderation analysis indicated that information asymmetry was not a moderating variable in either the effect of compensation appropriateness or organizational justice on fraud.
Rispantyo RispantyoDjoko KristiantoIka Indah Aprilia

The use of AI in recruitment is growing due to its ability to speed up processes, reduce costs, and make assessments more consistent. This study aims to determine how AI affects the employee selection process, including its benefits and challenges. The research method used a mixed approach: distributing questionnaires to 130 employees who had participated in AI-based selection processes and conducting interviews with three HR departments from companies that have implemented AI. The results showed that AI is seen as helping make the selection process faster, more measurable, and more consistent, thereby reducing human bias. However, several perceived challenges remain, including a lack of clarity about how AI selection results are determined, AI's limitations in assessing non-technical aspects (e.g., communication and creativity), a perceived lack of personalization in the candidate experience, and the risk of missing potential candidates due to keyword-based systems. In conclusion, AI can improve the objectivity and effectiveness of recruitment, but it is not without its problems. Therefore, AI implementation should continue to be integrated with human resources, along with increased system transparency, algorithm improvements (such as refining the weighting of different factors in the selection process), and attention to the candidate experience. In this way, the recruitment process can be faster, fairer, and remain humane.
Abdul FidayanMutia Tri Satya

This study scrutinizes the strategic importance of ecotourism in bolstering the competitiveness of green investment in the Indonesian Capital City (IKN). Using the Partial Least Squares – Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method through SmartPLS, this study explores the causal relationship between latent variables represented by banking financial indicators (ROA, ROE), ecotourism performance (number of tourists, ecotourism ROI), and ESG portfolio indicators (ESG score, ESG mutual fund returns). The results demonstrate that ecotourism has a positive and significant effect on ESG portfolio optimization, as evidenced by the contribution of the number of tourists and ROI that can enhance the ESG score and the performance of sustainable financial instruments. Conversely, banking investments show a limited effect on ESG portfolio optimization, underscoring the need for a more robust integration of sustainability principles into banking practices in Indonesia. In conclusion, this study underscores the strategic importance of ecotourism in strengthening the competitiveness of green investment in IKN, and the necessity to bolster the banking sector's commitment to ESG policies. These insights offer practical implications for governments, regulators, and industry players in crafting more comprehensive sustainable development strategies.
Musdalifah AzisAfriani SyawalAzizah AuliyawatiElsya SafitriNanda MawadahNovelika Zulkarnain

https://www.journal.jis-institute.org/index.php/snfmi/article/view/3150

This study aims to analyze sustainable management strategies through strengthening the RegTech-based financial ecosystem with AI optimization in credit scoring and supply chain finance to support the resilience of Indonesia's industrial and maritime economy in the face of global volatility and prevent public losses due to data manipulation, such as those that occurred in the Investree and eFishery cases. This study uses a qualitative approach and a systematic literature review (SLR) of international journals indexed in the Emerald platform (2015-2025) that discuss the implementation of RegTech in the financial services sector, with inclusion criteria focused on regulatory technology and exclusion of journals irrelevant to the financial industry. The findings show that AI-based RegTech can improve real-time monitoring, anomaly detection, and the accuracy of credit risk assessments, as well as supply chain finance security, but faces challenges of data fragmentation, outdated systems, algorithmic bias, and regulatory complexity that require modern, collaborative infrastructure. The study's limitations lie in its reliance on a single data source and in generalizing across emerging market countries, with implications for the need to develop an Integration Platform as a sustainable regulatory sandbox to integrate the fintech ecosystem and support national economic resilience. This research makes an original contribution by identifying a sustainable RegTech management model specific to the Indonesian context and recommending strategies to strengthen the industrial and maritime-based economy through AI optimization, underscoring the significance of the study's findings for the future of RegTech in Indonesia.
Muhammad RohmanudinRosbiansyah PutraSaint SeiyaAde YuniatiGolda Belladonna UmbingRahmiati Rahmiati

Islamic banking in Indonesia faces significant challenges in managing competitive human capital (HC), despite its rapid development in line with the growing awareness of Sharia- based finance. This study aims to analyze the effect of human capital investment, namely salary and training, on employee performance in Islamic commercial banks, and to examine the role of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) as a moderating variable. The research employs a quantitative approach using panel data from seven Islamic commercial banks over a ten-year period (2015–2024), analyzed with multiple regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) through EViews software. The results reveal that salary has a significant effect on employee performance, while training shows no significant impact. Furthermore, GCG significantly influences performance and strengthens the effect of salary on performance, but does not moderate the relationship between training and performance. These findings indicate that financial compensation supported by sound governance is a key factor in enhancing employee productivity and competitiveness, whereas the effectiveness of training still requires improvement in terms of planning and implementation. In conclusion, the application of GCG principles is not only crucial as a governance instrument but also strategic in optimizing human capital investment aligned with Sharia values, thereby providing a foundation for managerial policies of Islamic banks as well as regulators to strengthen sustainability and competitive advantage in Indonesia’s Islamic banking sector.
St. Sukmawati SMuhammad Syafii A BasalamahUmmu Kalsum

https://www.journal.jis-institute.org/index.php/snfmi/article/view/3154

The church, a significant player not only in spiritual development but also in the socio-economic transformation of its congregation, is the focus of this study. The GMIT Elim Enobesa congregation in South Central Timor Regency, with its abundant agricultural potential, faces challenges such as limited market access, weak marketing strategies, and geographical constraints. These obstacles hinder the transformation of the harvest into a viable source of income. The study's goal is to devise a model for congregational economic development that harnesses local potential. The theoretical approach, Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), is centered on mobilizing community assets. The study employed a qualitative case study method with purposive informants, including pastors, congregational administrators, community leaders, and business owners. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, and then analyzed thematically using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model. The results show that the congregation possesses four main assets: (1) physical assets in the form of fertile agricultural land and local food products; (2) human assets in the form of labor and traditional skills; (3) social assets in the form of congregational solidarity and the church's organizational structure; and (4) cultural assets in the form of cooperation values and local agricultural traditions. Optimizing these four assets has resulted in a congregational economic development model that emphasizes agricultural processing, strengthening congregation-based economic institutions, and expanding marketing networks through the support of the church and external partners. The study's conclusions confirm that congregational economic empowerment based on local potential can increase income, strengthen social solidarity, and most importantly, foster congregational independence. The church, as a strategic facilitator and key driver, plays a crucial role in enabling this model to be replicated in other congregations with similar contexts.
Afni Elfin LoaHendrik Lomi WaduArtahsasta A.E NifuMaya Malinda

https://www.journal.jis-institute.org/index.php/snfmi/article/view/3155

Human resource development for halal tourism in Indonesia faces complex challenges from various aspects. From the government's perspective, different training programs have been implemented through Vocational Training Centers (BLK), the Tourism Office, and related institutions, but the quality of human resources remains suboptimal, particularly in foreign language proficiency, cultural understanding, and competency requirements for the tourism industry. Furthermore, the low welfare of employees working in the tourism sector increases employee turnover. From an industry perspective, weaknesses in work discipline, limited understanding of halal standards, and limited adaptation to digital technology are key obstacles. However, leadership grounded in example and spirituality has been proven to foster greater discipline and integrity, offering a powerful solution to these challenges. At the same time, the digitalization of halal tourism promotion is a strategic factor in enhancing the competitiveness of halal tourism in Indonesia. From a social and cultural perspective, the emergence of public resistance to halal facilities and the stigma of Islamization demonstrate the need for a more inclusive communication strategy, sensitive to diversity, and aligned with local wisdom. Therefore, developing human resources for halal tourism in Indonesia requires an integrated approach that combines government policies, industry practices, and socio-cultural acceptance to create a competitive, sustainable sector.
Yeni AbsahTetty YuliatyNor Asmalina Mohd Anuar

This literature review examines the concept of managerial opportunistic behavior from the perspective of agency theory, which is known to be one of the factors contributing to overvalued equity. This condition makes it difficult for companies to return to their original position if left unaddressed. Therefore, companies must understand these factors to avoid bankruptcy. Thus, through this literature review, it is hoped that companies will recognize that managerial opportunistic behavior, as measured by free cash flow, is suspected to be one of the triggers of a decline in company value and ultimately leads to bankruptcy. This study will use two indicators to measure company value —overvalued equity and Tobin's Q — to compare actual company value. Managerial ownership, as a moderating variable, is suspected to strengthen or weaken its influence in causing overvalued equity. This situation must be resolved immediately; therefore, a construct known as the Company's Growth-Committed Dividend Policy is proposed as a mediating variable to overcome overvalued equity. Indeed, the research conducted is still in the form of literature; however, in the future, by using empirical data, it is hoped that it will be possible to prove that the dividend policy committed to company growth is able to overcome the current problems regarding the influence of managerial opportunistic behavior on company value.
Jeudi Agustina Taman Parulian SianturiGultom Robinhot

This study aims to examine the influence of digital logistics service quality and perceived value on customer satisfaction and loyalty among logistics users in Makassar, Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 272 respondents who actively use digital logistics services and analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings reveal that logistics service quality and perceived value significantly affect both customer satisfaction and loyalty. However, customer satisfaction was not found to be a significant predictor of loyalty, suggesting a paradigm shift from the traditional satisfaction-based loyalty model to a value-driven loyalty perspective. Theoretically, this study enriches the service marketing literature by integrating the perspectives of Service-Dominant Logic and Relationship Marketing, while simultaneously challenging the classical Expectancy-Disconfirmation Theory. Practically, the findings highlight that digital logistics providers should prioritize service innovation, system reliability, and price transparency as key strategies for fostering customer loyalty. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of consumer behavior in emerging markets’ logistics services and opens avenues for further research involving variables such as trust and digital experience.
Serlin SerangAryati ArfahRamlawati RamlawatiNurul Aulia

Climate change and stakeholder pressures drive manufacturing companies to integrate sustainability practices into their business strategies. This study examines the integrative effect of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), carbon emission disclosure, and green innovation on the financial performance and firm value of manufacturing companies in the Makassar Industrial Zone. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to company managers and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS version 27. The results indicate that CSR has a positive and significant impact on both financial performance and firm value, directly and through mediating pathways. In contrast, carbon emission disclosure and green innovation do not have a significant effect on financial performance or firm value. Financial performance is proven to be a significant mediator in enhancing firm value. These findings emphasize the importance of CSR as a sustainability strategy capable of generating tangible economic impact, while carbon disclosure and green innovation require more strategic integration to create added value.
This study aims to analyze the influence of sustainability reporting and corporate social responsibility (CSR) on firm value, with financial management as a mediating variable. The research method uses a quantitative approach with panel data on banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2022–2024 period. Data were obtained from annual reports, sustainability reports, and company financial reports. Path analysis and the Sobel test were used to examine the mediating role of financial management. The results show that sustainability reporting and CSR have a negative and significant effect on both firm value and financial management. Conversely, financial management has a positive and significant effect on firm value. The mediation test revealed that financial management does not mediate the effect of sustainability reporting on firm value, but it does mediate the effect of CSR on firm value. These findings confirm that sustainability and CSR disclosure practices are not yet viewed as primary considerations by investors. Therefore, their implementation needs to be carried out consistently, credibly, and aligned with core business strategies to increase firm value, providing clear implications for practice.
Husnah HusnahDjayani NurdinAsngadi AsngadiNiluh Putu Evvy RMaskuri Sutomo

This study analyzes the impact of climate change risk on the financial performance of the Indonesian coal mining industry, while accounting for leverage as a moderating factor. Leverage, in this context, refers to the use of debt to finance operations and investments. As the world's largest coal producer, Indonesia faces dual pressures between maintaining financial stability and adapting to physical risks and climate transition policies. This study uses data from 33 coal companies for the 2021-2024 period using a panel data regression approach. The results of the Feasible Generalized Least Squares (FGLS) analysis indicate that climate risk negatively affects ROA and ROE but positively affects ROCE and the price-to-book ratio. These findings indicate that, despite declining short-term profitability, companies can maintain capital efficiency and achieve higher market valuations. Leverage is shown to strengthen the relationship between climate risk and financial performance, suggesting that the use of debt can moderate the impact of climate risk on financial performance. This study provides an original contribution by integrating financial and climate risk perspectives in the context of developing countries. Its practical implications support the formulation of climate risk management strategies and sustainable industrial policies for relevant stakeholders.
Wahyuningsih WahyuningsihDjayani NurdinHusnah HusnahJuliana KadangSuparman SuparmanHayda Musta’al Silva Rizqy

The Strategic Environmental Assessment (KLHS) is an essential instrument for integrating environmental considerations into regional development policies. This study aims to examine the KLHS results of the Sigi Regency Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD), focusing on the integration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into regional development planning. The method used is a descriptive approach, by analyzing the official KLHS documents of the Sigi Regency RPJMD and related secondary data, to illustrate the link between regional development programs and the 17 SDGs. The analysis was conducted by identifying, mapping, and describing the level of conformity of development programs with SDG indicators. The results show that of the 17 SDGs, several relevant objectives have been accommodated in the RPJMD, including poverty alleviation, improving the quality of education, gender equality, inclusive economic growth, food security, sustainable environmental management, and disaster risk reduction. However, there are still aspects that need strengthening, particularly ecosystem protection, clean energy management, and increased adaptive capacity to climate change. This study confirms that although most of Sigi Regency's development programs align with SDG indicators, synergy among the local government, community, and stakeholders is still needed to ensure that SDG implementation continues beyond planning and is reflected in development implementation and evaluation. Therefore, the Sigi Regency RPJMD has the potential to serve as a strategic instrument for supporting SDG achievement at the local level while simultaneously strengthening the direction of sustainable development that is responsive to environmental and socioeconomic challenges.
Asngadi AsngadiMuhammad Nur SangajiDjayani NurdinHusnah HusnahNur EdyAbdul RahmanHayda Musta’al Silva Rizqy

https://www.journal.jis-institute.org/index.php/snfmi/article/view/3170

This study aims to analyze the unit cost of health services in Tojo Una-Una Regency using the Activity-Based Costing (ABC) approach. The study focuses on calculating accurate unit costs for Community Health Center services and inpatient rates at Ampana Regional General Hospital, to support the determination of realistic and sustainable rates. The method used is quantitative with data collection through observation, documentation, questionnaires, and interviews. The results of the study indicate that the average unit cost per Community Health Center visit is Rp 116,734, consisting of a fixed cost of Rp 75,173 and a variable cost of Rp 41,561. The analysis produces three scenarios for Community Health Center rates (Rp 124,734, Rp 194,557, and Rp 291,835) and the corresponding government subsidies. For Ampana Regional Hospital, inpatient rates based on ABC are higher than current rates, ranging from Rp 177,908–Rp 477,573 (if the service charge is 40%) or Rp 266,862–Rp 716,360 (if the service charge is 60%) per day, depending on the room class. The study also found that the majority of the public expressed a willingness to pay for a rate increase of around 7–10%, which should make the audience feel optimistic about the potential for sustainable healthcare funding. The study recommends that local governments use the ABC analysis results as a reference for setting rates, consider appropriate subsidy schemes, and collaborate with BPJS Kesehatan to review capitation rates to ensure the sustainability of healthcare services.
Djayani NurdinHusnah HusnahAsngadi AsngadiRosida P AdamSuryadi SamudraMuhammad Ansar

Generation Y and Generation Z are considered productive workers who face challenges in managing their personal finances. The numerous offers of easy access to loans and the possibility of deferred payments require this generation to understand and manage these features effectively. This study provides an overview of online loans and PayLater from the perspective of Generations Y and Z. An online questionnaire was distributed to private employees of a management consulting company in Jakarta. The results showed that those with a good education tend to avoid using online loans and PayLater, even though these two facilities are considered not to interfere with their personal lives. This study also showed that there were no differences in views between Generations Y and Z regarding online loans and PayLater, except for their views on the use of online loans and their views on online loans as a financing tool that helps respondents' finances.
Surya Setyawan

This study aims to investigate and test the influence of healthcare worker competence and service innovation on non-BPJS patient retention, with hospital brand image and patient satisfaction as mediators. The selected sample comprised 222 patients undergoing examinations at the outpatient clinic of Muhammadiyah Islamic Hospital in Kendal, Central Java. This hospital was chosen due to its significant patient volume and diverse patient demographics, making it a suitable site for studying patient retention. Data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to selected respondents. Data analysis used PLS-SEM with the assistance of the Smart PLS software package version 4.0. The results of this study have practical implications for healthcare institutions. They demonstrate that healthcare worker competence influences hospital brand image and outpatient satisfaction. Service innovation influences hospital brand image but does not influence patient satisfaction. Brand image and patient satisfaction have been shown to increase patient retention. Kendal Islamic Hospital can enhance the role of hospital brand image as a mediator in the relationships between healthcare worker competence and patient retention, and between service innovation and patient retention. Patient satisfaction can also mediate the relationship between healthcare worker competence and patient retention, but it does not mediate the relationship between service innovation and patient retention. These findings can guide hospitals in improving their brand image and service innovation to enhance patient retention.
Alifah RatnawatiMuhamad Hidayat SantosaSri Wahyuni Ratnasari

This study maps the development of marine tourism research in Indonesia within the framework of the maritime economy (2010–2025) using a bibliometric approach. Data were collected from Google Scholar due to its broad scope, encompassing journal articles, proceedings, and local publications. Data were then analyzed using CiteSpace to track trends, collaboration networks, keyword clusters, and topic dynamics over time. Findings show a consistent increase in publications, with a shift in focus from marine ecosystem conservation to strengthening the role of coastal communities, integrating the blue economy, and utilizing destination digitalization. Co-occurrence analysis confirmed five main clusters: conservation, community participation, sustainable maritime economy, digital transformation, and socio-cultural impacts. These results position marine tourism not merely as a tourist activity but as a strategic instrument for sustainable maritime economic development. This study also highlights the need for more systematic research mapping to align with national policies and strengthen Indonesia's global competitiveness in the maritime sector.
Adrie OktavioErris KusumawidjayaClarissa Listya SusiloChristy WidyawatiHendra HendraVerina Wijaya

https://www.journal.jis-institute.org/index.php/snfmi/article/view/3174

This study aims to analyze the influence of Key Opinion Leader (KOL) features, characteristics, recommendation information, and content on the purchase intention of the virtual product Mobile Legends, with customer trust as a mediating variable. The case study was conducted on the Markocop YouTube channel using a quantitative, non-probability sampling method with 200 respondents, and data analysis was conducted using AMOS Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed that the influence of KOL features on consumer trust was rejected, as was the impact of KOL characteristics. Conversely, recommendation information and KOL content were shown to affect consumer trust positively. In terms of purchase intention, KOL features had no effect, whereas KOL characteristics, recommendation information, and KOL content did. Consumer trust itself did not directly influence purchase intention, but acted as a mediator in the relationship between KOL features and purchase intention. The mediation of consumer trust in the relationship between KOL characteristics, recommendation information, and KOL content on purchase intention was rejected. These findings show that the content elements and information quality of KOLs are more decisive in building trust and driving purchase intention than KOL features or personal characteristics alone. This research not only makes theoretical contributions to the SOR-based digital marketing literature but also offers practical implications for e-sports brands, highlighting the relevance and applicability of our findings to their KOL-based promotional strategies.
Zahran Al Khairy AzharRefius Pradipta SetyantoTiladela Luhita

This study aims to analyze the influence of brand experience on brand loyalty, while considering the mediating roles of perceived quality and brand trust. The subjects of this study were visitors to Sounds of Downtown, an annual music festival in Indonesia. This study used a quantitative approach with an online questionnaire as the data collection method, and successfully collected 245 respondents. The data analysis technique used was Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software. The analysis indicates that brand experience has a positive and significant effect on perceived quality, brand trust, and brand loyalty. In addition, perceived quality and brand trust are also proven to be significant mediators in the relationship between brand experience and brand loyalty. These findings confirm that a positive brand experience not only directly influences loyalty but also strengthens the perception of quality and trust in the brand. The practical implications of these findings are significant for the development of experience-based marketing strategies, particularly in the entertainment and music event industries, providing actionable insights for marketers and event organizers.
Geoffrey Jefferson CahyonoYuliasti Ika Handayani

The phenomenon of quiet quitting is increasingly relevant in the modern workplace, especially among younger generations, as it reflects the attitude of employees who work only within formal boundaries and take no extra initiative. This study aims to analyze the effect of workload on quiet quitting, considering the mediating roles of job satisfaction and cynicism within the Job Demands–Resources (JD–R) Model. The study was conducted among employees of private companies in Yogyakarta with at least 3 months of work experience. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through accidental sampling by distributing questionnaires, resulting in 642 respondents. The collected data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results showed that workload had a significant positive effect on cynicism and a significant adverse effect on job satisfaction. Furthermore, cynicism was shown to increase quiet quitting, while job satisfaction decreased the tendency to quiet quitting. The findings also confirmed that cynicism and job satisfaction act as mediators in the relationship between workload and quiet quitting. The implications of this research are significant for workplace management, as they emphasize the importance of workload management and increasing job satisfaction to minimize the emergence of cynical attitudes and quiet quitting among employees.
Ignatius Soni KurniawanChristina Heti Tri RahmawatiNonik Kusuma Ningrum

This study examines the influence of green marketing and financial aspects on the performance and sustainable competitiveness of MSMEs, with a focus on Fishermen’s Joint Business Groups (KUB) in Makassar City. Fishermen’s MSMEs face challenges such as limited capital, low financial literacy, and minimal adoption of environmentally friendly marketing strategies. The research applies a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS 27, involving KUBs that have operated for at least three years. Data were collected through questionnaires based on green marketing, finance, business performance, and sustainable competitiveness indicators, tested for validity and reliability. Results show that green marketing has a positive and significant effect on MSME performance and sustainable competitiveness. Conversely, financial aspects have a negative and insignificant effect on both variables, reflecting weak financial management practices. In addition, MSME performance positively and significantly influences sustainable competitiveness, emphasizing the importance of productivity, quality improvement, and effective management in achieving long-term competitiveness. Overall, findings highlight green marketing as a key driver of MSME performance and sustainability. Meanwhile, financial aspects require policy support through financial literacy programs, inclusive financing access, and green incentives to help fishermen’s MSMEs strengthen their sustainable competitiveness.
Tasrik HasratMahfudnurnajamuddin MahfudnurnajamuddinBudiandriani BudiandrianiKhairina RosyadahRidhan Rahmah

This article aims to map the development and trends in green investment research through a bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer, based on bibliographic data from highly reputable publications. Three types of visualizations are used: network to view relationships between keywords, overlay to view time trends, and density to highlight the most frequently discussed topics. The results show three main clusters: (1) a red cluster representing stakeholder and policy engagement, (2) a green cluster representing energy transition and economic growth, and (3) a blue cluster representing data-driven policy impact evaluation. The overlay visualization shows a shift in research focus from macro issues to technical approaches such as green finance policy and fintech. Meanwhile, the density visualization highlights that keywords such as effect, economy, and evidence are gaining attention. This mapping reveals that green investment research is increasingly complex and integrated, involving economic, environmental, and financial technology aspects. These findings provide support for the development of evidence-based policies and the establishment of an investment ecosystem to achieve sustainable development.
Caecilia Wahyu Estining RahayuJosephine WuriLaurentius Bambang Harnoto

2025-11-102025-11-1031625163810.47747/snfmi.v3i1.3181Blue Bond: Innovation in Financing Indonesian Maritime Infrastructure Development
https://www.journal.jis-institute.org/index.php/snfmi/article/view/3182

Indonesia, the world’s largest archipelagic country, possesses vast maritime and geostrategic potential. However, the maritime sector’s contribution to national GDP has stagnated at about 11 percent, mainly due to a significant infrastructure financing gap, of which only 25 percent is covered by the State Budget (APBN). Within the blue economy framework, blue bonds are introduced as an innovative instrument to mobilize funds for sustainable maritime development. This study reviews global practices of blue bonds, with particular attention to Indonesia’s first issuance in May 2023, and offers policy recommendations. Using a qualitative literature review of regulations and institutional reports, the analysis shows that blue bonds can effectively finance marine conservation and infrastructure but face risks of bluewashing due to the lack of clear technical standards for “blue” projects. The study highlights the need for credible project prioritization, based on Asian Development Bank’s (ADB, 2023) eight categories. Strengthened regulations, blended finance, inclusive governance, and transparent implementation are essential to ensure Indonesia’s blue bond success and to strengthen its position in the global blue economy.
Kasi Eselonirmala WaruwuSuherman SuhermanMuhammad Farras NasridaAbdul HalimSunaryo Neneng Tuah

This study aims to determine the effect of earnings management, company size, liquidity, and profitability on tax aggressiveness. Earnings management is measured using discretionary accruals (DA); company size is proxied by the natural logarithm (Ln) of total assets; liquidity is proxied by the current ratio; profitability is proxied by return on assets (ROA); and tax aggressiveness is proxied by the effective tax rate (ETR). The research method, a quantitative approach, involves the use of secondary data obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and company websites. The population in this study is property, real estate, and building construction companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2017-2019. The sample selection method in this study uses judgment sampling, a form of purposive sampling in which sampling is based on specific criteria. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression analysis, a method that allows for the examination of the relationship between multiple independent variables and a dependent variable. The results show that earnings management, company size, and liquidity do not affect tax aggressiveness. Profitability positively affects tax aggressiveness.
Bagas KrisnugrahaTrisnawati RahayuYP Supardiyono

The business world has consistently faced criticism for its environmental and social impacts. To mitigate this criticism, many countries have required companies to publish ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reports. The business world is focused on sustainable development through the disclosure of ESG principles to support the 2030 SDGs. This study aims to examine the relationships among Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosure, profitability, leverage, and firm value. The subjects of this study were food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2022-2023 period. The sample used consisted of 17 food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2022-2023 period. The results show that environmental and social governance have no effect on firm value. Meanwhile, profitability and leverage do influence firm value. This finding is relevant to the current business world, as it indicates that investors tend to focus on short-term information, while corporate practices with long-term impacts are not.
Margaretha Putri Yunita OmeFrancisca Reni Retno AnggrainiYusef Widya KarsanaAgustinus Tri Kristanto

Our study sets out to dissect the impact of the merger on financial performance, corporate governance (Good Corporate Governance/GCG), and corporate social responsibility (CSR) at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI). We measure financial performance using the Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO) ratios. Our approach is quantitative and comparative, pitting performance data from the pre-merger period (2017–2020) against the post-merger period (2021–2024). The results show a significant difference in BSI's financial performance before and after the merger. In general, there was an increase in the effectiveness and efficiency of financial performance post-merger, as reflected in higher ROA and ROE and a lower BOPO ratio. In terms of governance, the GCG assessment also improved, as reflected in the Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI) score. However, it's concerning that CSR performance declined after the merger. This finding aligns with efficiency theory, which states that in the initial post-merger phase, companies focus more on internal stabilization, system integration, and cost rationalization. These post-merger efforts could result in reduced funding allocations for CSR activities, a trend that warrants attention.
Gionvanni MediantoYusef Widya KarsanaFrancisca Reni Retno AnggrainiAgustinus Tri Kristianto

https://www.journal.jis-institute.org/index.php/snfmi/article/view/3187

The purpose of this study was to explain the influence of work passion and organizational support on the work-family interface. Furthermore, the influence of the work-family interface on employee career commitment was also examined. The mediating variables, namely, the work-family interface and autonomy support — were analyzed. The work-family interface and autonomy support were not just analyzed as mediating variables, but also as moderators, which means they play a crucial role in influencing the relationship between work passion, organizational support, and employee career commitment. The data collection process for this study was conducted with meticulous care. A survey was used, and responses were measured on a Likert scale to ensure accuracy. The population under study, private-sector employees in the transportation industry who provided taxi services, was carefully selected. The sample, which comprised private-sector employees in the transportation industry with more than 1 year of service, working shifts and public holidays, was chosen with precision. The total number of respondents was 195, providing a robust dataset for analysis. Data processing used the SEM-PLS method, a reliable and widely accepted approach in the field of research. The results showed that Harmonious Work Passion, Organizational Support, and Work-Family Conflict significantly influenced Employee Career Commitment. This suggests that fostering a harmonious work passion, providing strong organizational support, and managing work-family conflicts can positively impact employee career commitment. Furthermore, Organizational Support significantly influenced Work-Family Conflict, indicating that a supportive organizational environment can help mitigate work-family conflicts. However, Obsessive Work Passion and Work-Family Enrichment did not influence Employee Career Commitment, suggesting that these factors may not be as significant in determining career commitment. Harmonious Work Passion and Organizational Support did not influence Work-Family Enrichment, indicating that these factors may not directly contribute to work-family enrichment. Work–Family Interface does not mediate the influence between Harmonious Obsessive Work Passion and Career Commitment, and Autonomy Support does not moderate the relationship between Work Passion and Work-Family Interface.
Lia AmaliaIsna Nurlela Nasution

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of the Indonesian economy, with women entrepreneurs contributing not only to household income but also to the preservation of local culture. In the digital era, social media offers inclusive, low-cost promotional opportunities, especially for women-managed MSMEs in geographically isolated tourist areas such as Malino, South Sulawesi. This study aims to explore how women entrepreneurs adopt and interpret social media in their business practices. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving female MSME owners in Malino. Thematic analysis yielded four key findings: (1) digital motivations driven by market expansion, cost efficiency, and community inspiration; (2) storytelling strategies highlighting local identity and cultural authenticity; (3) negotiating dual roles between domestic and business responsibilities, resulting in flexible but inconsistent engagement; and (4) structural challenges including unstable internet, limited digital literacy, and time constraints, partially mitigated by family and community support. This study concludes that social media use among female entrepreneurs in Malino is shaped by motivational, strategic, and structural factors, resulting in economically oriented yet culturally informed digital marketing practices. The practical implications emphasize digital literacy training, infrastructure improvements, and community-based capacity-building.
Isma Azis RiuWiwin Riski Windarsari

Digitalization has great potential to boost the national economy, especially for MSMEs, though its realization still faces various obstacles, such as limited digital literacy and access to technology. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing MSMEs' shift toward digital marketing within the Push–Pull–Mooring (PPM) framework and to examine the role of the mooring effect as a mediating variable. This research is a quantitative study using a regression approach and Smart PLS-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis with data from 140 MSME respondents. The results show that the pull and mooring effects significantly affect switching intention, whereas the push effect does not. In addition, the mooring effect has been shown to act as a mediator, strengthening the relationship between the pull effect and switching intention. In contrast, in the relationship between the push effect and switching intention, the mooring effect plays no role. This finding confirms that external attractiveness and internal readiness of MSMEs are more decisive in driving the transformation to digital marketing. In contrast, external pressure from limited conventional marketing has less influence. The implication of this research is to focus on strategies to accelerate MSME digitalization by increasing technological attractiveness.
R.A NurlindaEka BertuahNovera Kristianti MaharaniElok Hikmawati

This study aims to examine the dynamics and challenges in developing weaving enterprises using a qualitative descriptive approach with a single case study design. Data were collected through non-participant observation and structured interviews with the group leader and female entrepreneurs The findings show significant development in 2012, with product diversification from stagen to woven fabrics, couple clothing, and other functional products, as well as an increase in production capacity 1,000 per month. Marketing is conducted locally in Yogyakarta and Java through daily credit systems and resellers, as well as international collaboration with Hiroshima University students and buyers from Malaysia. The main challenges include limited regeneration of young weavers, a lack of dedicated marketing administrators, and complicated export licensing. Thematic analysis based on social entrepreneurship theory, social capital theory, and diffusion of innovation theory reveals that the enterprise is not only profit-oriented but also preserves cultural heritage and strengthens community solidarity. Opportunities lie in the growing global demand for ethnic, eco-friendly, and handmade products, while managerial limitations and resistance to innovation remain key obstacles. This study highlights the importance of government support, social networks, and the role of younger generations in ensuring the sustainability of weaving enterprises.
Trias Setiawati

Market developments and the high level of global business competition require companies to pay attention to employee needs and facilitate employee development. In this regard, companies can demonstrate their concern for their employees' Quality of Work Life. Quality of work life is the feeling employees have about their work, which affects work effectiveness. According to the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (EWON, 2002), there are five dimensions in Quality of Work Life: Health & Well-Being, Job Security, Job Satisfaction, Competency Development, and Work & Work Life. Competency development is a dimension that will be studied in more depth. This research will be conducted at a cement and concrete manufacturing company in East Java. As a growing company, the company needs to restructure to face global competition. Therefore, a talent management system is required to help the company develop potential leaders capable of achieving its business strategy. The method used in this research is action research. Because the assessment stage found that several talent management support systems were not ready, designing a recruitment and selection system as the first step of the talent management system became the focus of the intervention.
Laurentia Verina HalimClara FebrinandaJ.
The increasing volume of waste in Indonesia demands a shift in consumption behavior toward a sustainable lifestyle. Public information is believed to foster environmental awareness, which in turn strengthens reuse behavior as part of the 3R principle (reduce, reuse, recycle). This study aims to analyze the role of public information and environmental awareness on students' reuse behavior. This study used a quantitative, survey-based approach among university students. Data were collected using a standardized questionnaire, then analyzed using Path Analysis. The results indicate that public information increases students' environmental awareness and reuse behavior. Environmental awareness increases students' reuse behavior, and environmental awareness mediates the relationship between public information and reuse behavior. These findings strengthen the theory that public information plays a strategic role in shaping the awareness and environmentally friendly behavior of the younger generation. This study provides practical implications for universities to improve environmental literacy through extensive public information and for the government to expand access to information on environmental policies. The results are expected to encourage students' awareness and active participation in protecting the environment through reuse practices.
Rojuaniah RojuaniahErman AnomBarika Barika

Financial literacy for MSMEs is essential to improve their understanding of financial products and services, financial planning, and awareness of illegal online investment and loan offers. This study will examine the application of the Theory of Planned Behavior in shaping financial behavior and explore how financial literacy affects MSME entrepreneurs. This study is a quantitative study using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) and processed and analyzed using LISREL. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with the criteria being MSME entrepreneurs in the Greater Jakarta area. The study's results demonstrate that financial literacy positively affects savings attitudes. Subjective norms have an insignificant effect on financial behavior, but have a positive effect on savings attitudes, while savings attitudes have a positive effect on financial behavior. The results also show that savings attitudes can mediate the influence of financial literacy and subjective norms on financial behavior. This study provides empirical evidence to test the Theory of Planned Behavior, which states that close relationships and knowledge can influence the formation of attitudes towards savings, thereby shaping financial behavior.
Eka BertuahR.A NurlindaDwi Wahyuningsih

This study outlines sustainable management strategies to strengthen the industrial and maritime-based economy in the context of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In addition to a cross-sectoral strategic framework (industry and maritime), the article includes the research methodology used, an analysis of Indonesia's conditions (policies, infrastructure, challenges), and a specific discussion on the development of MSMEs in Indonesia, their roles, challenges, green and digital opportunities, and policy recommendations and financing instruments. The primary sources come from the latest international reports, national policy analysis data, and academic studies from 2023 to 2025. From an educational perspective, universities can produce superior human resources who are technologically literate, understand the green and blue economies, and can manage MSMEs sustainably. Through research contributions, universities have a role in developing innovations that support industrial efficiency, environmentally friendly maritime resource management, and MSME empowerment through digitalization and access to green finance. Meanwhile, community service serves as a means of empowerment, mentoring, and technology transfer to MSMEs, fishermen, and local industries, enabling them to compete in the global market. The analysis shows that the synergy between sustainable management strategies and the Tri Dharma of Higher Education can strengthen Indonesia's economic resilience, increase industrial and maritime competitiveness, and support the achievement of SDGs targets.
Elistia ElistiaMuniroh Muniroh

The Makassar travel industry faces pressure to shift from a post-pandemic mass-tourism model to more resilient practices. This study aims to fill a gap in the local strategic management literature by formulating a business model that prioritizes community empowerment. It analyzes the internal and external conditions of the Makassar travel industry and formulates a sustainable business strategy for travel businesses grounded in the Community-Based Tourism (CBT) philosophy, focusing on the unique potential of local destinations. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive approach with multiple case studies of several travel businesses in Makassar that have attempted to adopt sustainable practices. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with agency managers/owners, tourism community representatives, and the Tourism Office. Data were analyzed using a SWOT Analysis and Grand Strategy Matrix. This article offers a contextually tailored sustainable business strategy formulation model for the Makassar travel market, explicitly integrating local initiatives (Tourism Alleys) as a core differentiation product and driving force of CBT. The study identified that the most optimal strategy is the Divergent Integrative Strategy (SO-WT), namely: (1) Developing premium authentic experience packages (culinary and cultural tourism) through direct partnerships with communities; (2) Digitalization of partnerships and transparency of fee allocation to build trust; and (3) Improving community human resource capabilities in hospitality and destination management.
Herminawaty AbubakarAsdar AsdarSukmawati SukmawatiIka Rezki PurnamaMuhammad Fajar Ilahi

This study aims to analyze the influence of technology adoption on perceived benefits and challenges faced by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach. Data were collected from 350 MSME respondents and processed to test the relationships among latent variables. The results showed that technology adoption had a positive and significant effect on perceived benefits with a path coefficient of 0.512 (p<0.001). This finding supports Rogers' (2003) innovation diffusion theory, which emphasizes the importance of perceived relative advantage in driving adoption. Furthermore, perceived benefits had a significant adverse effect on MSME challenges, with a path coefficient of -0.327 (p<0.001), underscoring the role of entrepreneurial cognition in reducing business barriers. Technology adoption was also shown to directly reduce challenges, though with a more negligible effect (coefficient = -0.198; p = 0.002). These results are in line with Schumpeter's (1934) theory of innovation, which views technology as a form of creative destruction that replaces inefficient old methods. Overall, this study confirms that MSMEs' success in facing challenges is determined not only by the use of technology but also by the perception of the benefits it creates. The practical implication of this research is the importance of technology-based training and mentoring to strengthen the understanding of the benefits for MSMEs.
Muhammad Kafrawi YunusSeri SurianiMuhtar SapiriMuhammad Zia Ul HaqKadek IntanNur Aziza Buhari

Labor productivity is one of the leading indicators of national economic competitiveness. Despite abundant human resources, Indonesia faces challenges due to its relatively low labor productivity, which stands at only USD 14 per hour, well below that of Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia. This study aims to analyze the role of organizational culture as a non-economic factor influencing labor productivity in Indonesia, using Hofstede's Cultural Dimensions framework and comparing Indonesia with developed countries in Southeast Asia. The analysis results show that Indonesian organizational culture remains characterized by high power distance, extreme collectivism, low achievement orientation, and short-term orientation, which in turn impacts low initiative, innovation, and individual performance. In contrast, Singapore and Malaysia combine hierarchy with meritocracy and long-term orientation, while Thailand displays an adaptive, paternalistic culture. These findings emphasize the need for organizational culture transformation in Indonesia toward participatory leadership, individual performance-based systems, and continuous investment in human resource development. The strategic implications of this study highlight the importance of reforming work culture to support the agenda of increasing competitiveness and achieving the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
Rezkiawan TantawiIdham Masri Ishak

This research analyzes gender gaps and identifies the factors and issues driving the glass ceiling in the public sector in Gorontalo. The research background is based on the relatively declining Gender Inequality Index, but the persistent low level of female labor force participation, particularly in the formal sector. This study involved 46 respondents, consisting of 29 women and 17 men from 15 Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD). The analysis used the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) with decomposition, comparative judgment, synthesis of priorities, and logical consistency, processed with Expert Choice. The results show that individual factors are the main determinants in the emergence of the glass ceiling, particularly related to women's attitudes, mindsets, and personal capacities. The priority issues that emerged were gender bias and gender stereotypes, which are perceptual and socially constructed. At the individual level, gender stereotypes play a role in shaping women's self-perceptions and influencing their self-confidence. At the organizational level, work policies and procedures are still influenced by gender bias, while in the family sphere, women face a double burden due to domestic expectations. At the cultural level, patriarchal norms and stereotypes of leadership as a male domain further reinforce barriers to women's careers. These findings confirm that strategic efforts to reduce the glass ceiling in the public sector need to focus on eliminating gender biases and stereotypes that are internalized in individuals, rooted in culture, and institutionalized in organizations.
Robiyati PodunggeRezkiawan Tantawi

In recent years, the global and national economies have faced significant challenges due to high unemployment rates, weak labor productivity, and the geopolitical conflict between Israel and Palestine. In this context, leadership style plays a crucial role in maintaining organizational stability and ensuring business sustainability. An effective leadership style plays a crucial role in improving employee performance, strengthening loyalty, and encouraging innovation and operational efficiency. However, companies also often face serious challenges related to leadership style. This analysis aims to understand the extent of transactional leadership's influence on employee performance, assess the effectiveness of reward and punishment mechanisms in increasing work motivation, evaluate the level of employee compliance with established rules and procedures, and measure their impact on achieving organizational targets in a more efficient and structured manner. This study uses a qualitative approach and a literature review to examine the effect of transactional leadership on employee performance, with motivation as a mediating variable. The results of this analysis provide a comprehensive picture of the influence of transactional leadership style on employee performance, particularly in creating a more structured and disciplined work system. Thus, this study can serve as a guideline for companies in designing leadership strategies that align with organizational culture and employee needs.
Riny MarianyEllen WuCatherine KhoEvi Silvana Muchsinati

https://www.journal.jis-institute.org/index.php/snfmi/article/view/3212

The recent surge in geopolitical tensions has brought notable effects on Indonesia’s stock market. This study seeks to explore how geopolitical risk plays a moderating role in the relationship between key macroeconomic indicators—exchange rate, interest rate, and money supply—and stock price in Indonesia. A quantitative approach is applied using monthly time series data spanning 10 years, from 2014 to 2023. Data were sourced from the official websites of Badan Pusat Statistik, Bank Indonesia, Investing.com, and Matteo Iacoviello. The analysis reveals that exchange rate and money supply both have negative and significant effects on stock prices, with the latter contrary to expectations. Interest rate shows a significant but inconsistent effect, being positive only in one model. Geopolitical risk significantly moderates the relationship between interest rate and stock price, but not the other variables. These findings suggest that geopolitical factors heighten market sensitivity, particularly toward monetary policy, and should be considered by both investors and policymakers.
Hery HaryantoHesniati HesniatiStephen HuangJeffrey JeffreyRichard RichardRichard William

https://www.journal.jis-institute.org/index.php/snfmi/article/view/3216

This study aims to develop an integrated entrepreneurial education ecosystem framework at Universitas Syiah Kuala by utilizing the Soft System Methodology (SSM) approach. The research addresses the challenges and complexities in implementing entrepreneurship programs across different faculties and units within the university. The study employed qualitative methods, including in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and document analysis, involving key stakeholders such as university leaders, lecturers, students, alumni, and external partners. The research followed seven stages of SSM, from problem situation analysis to the formulation of conceptual models and recommended actions. The results identified six critical components necessary for building a sustainable entrepreneurial education ecosystem: integrated governance and policies, curriculum and learning innovation, incubation and funding support, structured mentoring and networking systems, innovation and entrepreneurial culture, and data-driven monitoring and evaluation mechanisms. Based on these findings, the study proposed a visual ecosystem framework and concrete action plans for ecosystem enhancement. The final conclusion emphasizes the need for institutional commitment, cross-sectoral collaboration, and adaptive strategies to foster a conducive environment for entrepreneurial development in higher education. This research contributes to the theoretical understanding of ecosystem-based entrepreneurship education and offers practical policy implications for universities seeking to embed entrepreneurship as a core institutional value.
Rahmat FadhilHendra HalimMustanir YahyaSayyid Afdhal El Rahimi

https://www.journal.jis-institute.org/index.php/snfmi/article/view/3217

This study aims to analyze the influence of capital structure, liquidity, and profitability on firm value, with Good Corporate Governance (GCG) as a moderating variable. This quantitative study uses secondary data from financial and annual reports of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for a specific period. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling method. Firm value is measured by Tobin's Q, capital structure by the Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER), liquidity by the Current Ratio (CR), and profitability by Return on Assets (ROA). A composite score measures GCG. The data analysis technique used is Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results show that profitability (ROA) has a positive and significant effect on firm value, while liquidity (CR) has a negative and significant effect. Capital structure (DER) has no significant effect. Good Corporate Governance is proven to strengthen the positive relationship between profitability and firm value. However, GCG is unable to moderate the influence of capital structure and liquidity. The key findings of this study reveal the strategic role of GCG in strengthening the credibility of profitability signals. This confirms that, in the context of the Indonesian capital market, good governance practices act as an amplifier, making company performance information more credible and valued more highly by investors, thereby strengthening its impact on value creation.
Nurfitriani NurfitrianiImam Nazarudin LatifRina Masithoh HariyadiHeriyanto HeriyantoSunarto SunartoEgie Yulistia Putri

https://www.journal.jis-institute.org/index.php/snfmi/article/view/3218

The study aims to analyze the influence of digital marketing, brand awareness, and customer engagement on purchasing decisions with brand trust as a mediator. The study seeks to answer whether digital marketing strategies are effective directly or through trust-building to encourage purchases. Data were collected via online questionnaires distributed to consumers of the brands studied regarding their digital marketing activities. The sample used purposive sampling, based on the Slovin formula. Data were analyzed using SEM to test the direct and indirect effects of the studied variables. The results show that digital marketing, brand awareness, and customer engagement have a positive, significant effect on purchasing decisions, both directly and indirectly. The key finding of this study is that brand trust is a significant partial mediating variable. This means that most of the influence of the three independent variables on purchasing decisions is actually channeled through brand trust first. Customer engagement is a driver of brand trust and purchasing decisions. The scope of the study is limited to one industry, so the findings cannot be generalized widely. This study is also cross-sectional, capturing conditions at a specific point in time. The findings imply a shift from a focus on exposure volume (impressions) to one on the accumulation of trust equity. Companies are advised to integrate trust-building principles into all digital marketing, brand awareness, and customer engagement activities.
Eka YudhyaniUmi KulsumFebbiolla Gabriella Pesik
