Mengembangkan Inovasi Dalam Pengelolaan Sampah Plastik Melalui Keterlibatan Aktif Anak Pasraman Di Dusun Rincung

Abstract

The 45-day Community Service Program (KKN) in Banjar Marga Rahayu, Rincung Hamlet, Banyu Urip Village, West Lombok Regency, focused on addressing the pressing environmental issue of plastic waste, through the utilization of used bottles as piggy banks. This program was implemented due to the difficult-to-decompose nature of plastic waste and the pollution that impacts human health and the ecosystem. This activity has a dual purpose: reducing plastic waste and simultaneously fostering creativity, skills, and environmental awareness among the children of the pasraman. The implementation method is participatory, including observation, planning, practice, and evaluation, with three main meeting sessions: education on the function of piggy banks, piggy bank making practice, and savings habits. As a result, this activity succeeded in increasing the children's enthusiasm and skills in processing waste, fostering self-confidence, independence, and positive habits in financial management. Therefore, this program provides sustainable benefits as a means of economic education, character building, and environmental conservation efforts.
